Breanna Prince

My name is Breanna Prince and I'm from Michigan. Beginning my journalism journey, people have told me I should start a blog and go from there. Here's what I doing. I'm started college in the fall of 2021 and I plan on getting my bachelors degree in journalism. I don't know what I plan on doing with it fully, but I do love to write, so I will for sure write for some company.

What got you into journalism? I get this question a lot, which had me thinking. Every since I learned how to write, I began writing little stories, and drawing pictures to go with them. I always thought they sucked and threw them away. Today I wish I hadn't because they could have went somewhere, you just never know. Sophomore year of high school someone was talking about the yearbook class, and beginners journalism class that you could take. They always talked about how stressful it was, but when I asked them why, and what they all do, had me actually interested in the classes. So of course I decided to take them. I fell in love with taking photos for the yearbook, writing captions for the photos, writing stories, and designing pages. In beginners journalism I love the idea of learning how to interview, learning the basics of journalism, and the rules that go with it. Senior year of high school (which I'm in right now), I'm still in yearbook and I became the editor of student life and clubs. I never have been so excited because I feel like I'm top notch because I get to help others how to edit, write, and more. 

In this blog I plan on talking about my college life experiences. Things like dorm life, dining food, classes, etc. Please follow along with my journey to see what college likes looks like in my eyes at Central Michigan University.
